Donovan Nelson is the Director of Operations at Knockout Inspections. He had his own inspection company, based in Pensacola FL, for several years before closing down in 2021 due to the difficulty for small companies during 2020 and 2021. Knockout Inspections owner, Nathan Lippincott, started the company in 2013 and is also a Certified Master Inspector. In 2015 he added FORTIFIED Evaluations as another service. Fast forward to 2025 and we now have about 20 employees including 5 home inspectors (Licensed in AL, FL, MS), 7 FORTIFIED Evaluators, and 6 office staff. We believe in operating with integrity above all else and providing exceptional service to clients that include, homeowners, buyers, Realtors, insurance, and more.
The FORTIFIED Home Program through IBHS (Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety) allows homeowners to retrofit their homes with different levels of designations to improve their durability through severe weather events. Fortified Roof, Fortified Silver, and Fortified Gold are the designations and require contractors to work with 3rd party evaluators to achieve FORTIFIED status. When that is accomplished, the home receives a certificate and the homeowner submits that to their insurance company for significant discounts. The certificates expire every 5 years and must be renewed by an Evaluator again for the homeowner to continue receiving insurance discounts.

Knockout Inspections offers Home Energy Efficiency Assessments. We perform blower door testing and air duct testing to find gaps/cracks in the home where air is leaking in or out. After the homeowner gets those fixed, we test again to make sure it is better. This helps lower your energy bills and makes your home more energy efficient.
Knockout Inspections also offers Manual J's, Manual D's, and Manual S's for HVAC efficiency. Performing these services will help ensure your HVAC system is the correct size for the property and the ducts are designed in the most effective way.
