James Jones brings nearly 30 years of experience in commercial property inspections, environmental testing, and construction to every project. As the founder of Home & Commercial Inspections LLC, he is widely trusted across Ohio for delivering precise, defensible inspections that support confident real estate and risk-management decisions. James holds an Associate of Science in Construction Management and spent more than a decade as a commercial builder, master carpenter, estimator, and project manager, giving him uncommon, hands-on insight into how buildings are designed, constructed, and fail. His inspections include in-depth evaluations of structural systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and life-safety components, as well as environmental hazards such as asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, radon, and indoor air quality. He is a Certified Master Inspector, ASTM E2018 Property Condition Assessment (PCA) Commercial Inspector, and a Board Member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), where he helps advance industry standards and best practices. James is also a Level II Certified Thermographer, Licensed HVAC Technician, Licensed Radon, WDI, Lead, and Asbestos Inspector, and an FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot, utilizing thermal imaging, drone technology, and advanced diagnostics to enhance accuracy and efficiency. It was easy to schedule my inspection, they had availability just a couple days out, it was cheaper than the service I was going to use, and they showed up exactly when they said they would - on a Sunday, even. Our inspector, Charles, was very thorough and efficient, he was honest and upfront about his findings, he answered all of our questions, and even gave our dog some love. Would 100% recommend again and again.
