Fraudulent Inspector – Do Not Trust
If you are looking for an honest, objective home inspection, stay far away from Vernon Wilkins. He is an absolute fraud and a scam artist who lacks the basic integrity required for this profession.
Vernon appears to operate in lockstep with agents to intentionally misrepresent the condition of a home. During my inspection, he marked multiple appliances as "non-functional" in his official report. I have video proof showing these exact appliances working perfectly at the time he claimed they were broken. This isn’t a simple mistake or an oversight—it is a blatant, documented lie intended to manipulate the transaction.
It is because of "inspectors" like Vernon that the industry in Maryland has a bad reputation. He is a liability to buyers and a stain on the profession. If your agent recommends him, or if he is assigned to your property, demand someone else.
He cannot be trusted.
