Chestnut Property Inspections
We are a family- and veteran-owned property inspection company with some of the most outstanding Google reviews in Central PA. We are known for exceptional service to our clients, our crystal-clear reports that are delivered on the day of the inspection, and the kind of inspections we can do other than home inspections. We do radon, mold, and water testing, termite and well inspections, and commercial property inspections. Learn more about us at https://chestnutinspections.com.
A Home Inspection is a visual evaluation of a property's condition, covering major systems like the roof, structure, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. We do these inspections for home buyers to inform them of any existing or potential issues. We also do these as pre-listing inspections for sellers, to control any surprises or delays after an offer has been accepted.

A WDO (Wood-Destroying Organism) Inspection checks for signs of termites, carpenter ants, wood-boring beetles, and fungi that can damage a homeβs structure. It is often required for real estate transactions like VA loans, and helps protect against costly structural repairs.

We check the same items as on a standard home inspection, as well as structural support beneath the home.

Lenders sometimes require an inspection to determine if the home meets HUD construction standards for foundations and additions (porches, decks, etc.). We do these inspections with our partner engineering firm, who reviews our information and issues a report.

We inspect the home for building problems that can or has caused elevated moisture that contributes to mold growth. We take three mold samples, with the option of adding testing for airborne particulates that can cause respiratory distress.
